Abstract
This thesis delves into the significance of testimonies and autobiographies in Latin America to understand the region's political conflicts and cultural and historical landscape. It focuses on the experiences of three notable figures, including Angela Zago and Argenis Rodriguez, Venezuelan revolutionary individuals during the early days of the guerrilla movement. The third individual is Omar Cabezas, a guerrilla fighter from Nicaragua who played a key role in the Sandinista revolution. By analyzing the testimonies of these individuals, the thesis aims to reveal the motivations and experiences of those who participated in the revolutionary movements. The emphasis is on the unique perspectives of these writers and the factors that drove young people to mobilize and join these movements. The thesis is structured into three chapters, each exploring the experiences of different writer, including their childhood, their reasons for joining the guerrilla movements, and the poetics of their autobiographical writings. Ultimately, the thesis argues that these testimonies offer valuable insights into the historical and cultural contexts of the Latin American revolutionary movements.
