Alfred H. Bartles Collection

 

Alfred H. Bartles (1930-2006), a Nashville native, was a jazz pianist, classical cellist, and an accomplished composer. Over the course of his long and fruitful career, he lived, performed, taught, and composed in New York City, at Tennessee Tech University, and in Stuttgart and Bönnigheim, Germany, before finally retiring and returning to Nashville.
