| Description: | Includes descriptive metadata provided by producer in QuickTime movie file: "Politics, Economics and Social Issues - Video - Donald Kohn explains the Federal Reserve's role in the economic recovery." By Vanderbilt University. Donald L. Kohn, Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve, speaks on April 18, 2009, at Owen as part of the 22nd annual Financial Markets Research Center Conference. The conference honored Dewey Daane, Owen professor and former Governor of the Federal Reserve Board, and Kohn speaks very briefly of him. A probably brief portion in the middle of the address appears to have been missed in the recording. Kohn takes questions after his address, and an extended exchange ensues with Paul Volcker, senior economic advisor to President Obama and former chairman of the Federal Reserve. Dewey Daane also makes a comment. |
