Abstract
I present proof-of-principle applications of time-dependent coupled-cluster theory in the framework of nuclear physics, demonstrating that both energy and observables that commute with the Hamiltonian are conserved within the bi-variational formalism; the time-evolved eigenvalues of the similarity-transformed Hamiltonian are not conserved within feasible applications; the imaginary-time evolution of the similarity-transformed Hamiltonian is useful in the computation of ground-state properties and is related to similarity renormalization group transformations; and a Fourier analysis of the cluster amplitudes is useful in determining excitation energies.
