Abstract
This project assessed AP learning efforts at Romeoville High School through analyzing elements of the school’s AP programming. Through several research lens, this project analyzed the effect of AP coursework on students’ college-readiness achievement, students’ perceptions of their college-readiness, and the relationship between AP teachers’ professional development opportunities and student learning. Project findings revealed a significant relationship between taken AP exams and passed AP exams and students’ end of high school college readiness achievement. Additionally, AP learning supported students’ perceptions of their readiness for college coursework. Finally, instructional professional development opportunities positively influence students’ AP achievement.
